Wikipedia LogoIf you were to type the word Wikipedia into google you would see the descriptive text,

“The biggest multilingual free-content encyclopedia on the Internet. Over 7 million articles in over 200 languages, and still growing.”

Then, if you were to click on the link, taking you to the Wikipedia homepage you would see a listing of  the different languages Wikipedia offers and thier article counts… here are a few.

English- 2,360, 000 + Articles

Deutsch- 745,000 + Artikel

Francais- 654,000 + Aricles

Polski- 496,000 + Haset

Wow! And that is just 4 different languages of over 250. After doing a quick google search I found that on March 26th 2008 at 5:07 pm Wikipedia published its 10 Millionth artcle world wide. ( http://mashable.com/2008/03/30/wikipedia-10-million)

There can be no doubt that Wikipedia is a juggernaut of information that is only getting bigger and better but what if you could get your own business listed on Wikipedia? Hmm, do I have you thinking now? What could that mean to you? Have you ever did a google search and noticed that Wikipedia, on most topics, is on the first page?
